Illustrations in our guides

Our planning guides include photorealistic illustrations created with OpenAI's image generation tool. Each is identified in its caption as an AI-generated illustration. These scenes explain layouts, equipment choices and meal-planning ideas. They do not document a completed build, a cooked and tested recipe, a product test or a visit to a particular campsite.

We review the images against the surrounding text and use descriptions of what is visible. Generated image files also carry a digital source tag identifying algorithmic generation. The article's guidance and cited sources take precedence over incidental details in an illustration.
